Printing on SmartLobby via BlueTooth

In case you have difficulties printing via your local network, you can try Bluetooth.

Note that not all printer support BlueTooth
For instance QL-820NWB does support BlueTooth (the ‘B’ in the name stands for BlueTooth)

Enabling Bluetooth on Printer

  • Press the [Menu] button to view the main menu.
  • Using the [▲] and [▼] buttons, select Bluetooth > Bluetooth (On/Off) > On in the settings menu, then press [OK].
  • Using the [▲] and [▼] buttons, select Bluetooth > Automatic Reconnection > On in the settings menu, then press [OK].
  • Press the back [↩] button to return to the main screen.
  • You should then see the Bluetooth symbol in the top right corner.

 

Retrieving the Bluetooth Mac Address on the printer

In order to support multiple BlueTooth printers simultaneously, and for a friction-less printing experience, it is recommended that one use the mac address of the bluetooth interface of the printer.

  • Press the [Menu] button to view the main menu.
  • Using the [▲] and [▼] buttons, select Bluetooth > Bluetooth Status> Address ( This is a serie of characters separated by ‘:’.
  • Please note down the mac address as it will be come useful when setting up the printer in SmartLobby admin dashboard

 

Pairing your tablet or iPad with the Bluetooth printer

This is a pretty generic process and depends on whether your device is iOS or Android.

For Apple devices (iPad / iPad Air / iPad mini / iPhone or iPod touch)

  1. From the home screen of your Apple device, tap [Settings], and then tap [Bluetooth].
  2. Slide the toggle button to the [ON] position.

For Android™ devices

  1. From the home screen of your Android™ device, tap [Settings], and then tap [Bluetooth].
  2. Slide the toggle button to the [ON] position.
