Daily, Weekly and Monthly Report Emails
SmartLobby can email you a summary of who visited, on a daily, weekly or monthly cadence. Each cadence is independent — you can take the weekly summary and ignore the daily one.
Configure them in Settings in the admin dashboard:
- Enable Daily report Emails
- Enable Weekly report Emails
- Enable Monthly report Emails
Quiet periods, and why you might still want an email
Each cadence has a second option:
- Email me even if there were no visits yesterday
- Email me even if there were no visits last week
- Email me even if there were no visits last month
Leave one of these on and you get an email even when the report is empty. That sounds like noise, but an empty report is also proof that reporting still works — silence, by contrast, could mean a quiet week or could mean nothing is running. Some sites want that reassurance for one cadence and not the others.
Turn it off for a cadence and no email is sent when there is nothing to report. This is the option to use for a site that closes over the summer, or a location that only takes occasional visitors, where a daily "no visits" email is just something to delete.
Because the setting is per cadence, a common arrangement is to switch off empty daily emails while keeping the empty weekly one — quiet days stay silent, and one email a week still confirms the reports are alive.
Good to know
These reports cover visits, and the counts follow the location and visitor-type settings on your account.
If you were previously receiving reports irregularly, that is worth revisiting — an issue where daily and weekly reports could skip alternate runs was fixed alongside these options. Reports should now arrive on every cadence you have enabled.
