Enabling Badge Printing in the SmartLobby Visitor Admin Dashboard

Linking the Printer to Your Tablet on the SmartLobby Admin Dashboard

  1. Log in to the Admin Console:
    In the “Printers” section, ensure you have selected the correct printer model to match the physical printer you have, as well as the label that is installed in the printer.

  1. Use a Static IP Address:
    To avoid issues like "My printer suddenly stopped working!" (caused by the IP address of your printer changing over time), it is recommended to use a static IP address. Contact your network admin to set up a static IP address for your printer.

  2. Save the Configuration.

Configuring the Device for Printing

  1. Go to the Device Configuration screen as shown below:

Ensure that you tick the box “Enable Printing”, then press “Save”.

Turn On Your Tablet and Print

  1. Go through a check-in process on the tablet.

  2. At the last stage of the check-in, where the badge preview is displayed, you will see the “Print Badge” button.

When the “Print Badge” button is pressed, the system will look up the network printer specified earlier and print the badge.
